Dr. Heinar Schmidt from University of Bayreuth (DE) will give a talk on “Hand-held Raman System for a Non-invasive Determination of Meat Quality Characteristics”.
The lecture will take place at DTU, Risø Campus at the Niels Bohr Auditorium on Thursday the 28th of November 2013 at 14 – 15 (after the general assembly).
Further automation of food production requires objective measuring methods for process and quality control. For this purpose, optical measuring technologies are well suited since they are fast, non-destructive and often contactless. Raman spectroscopy is an emerging technology in this field.
In connection with the lecture, Dr. Schmidt will demonstrate a hand-held Raman Spectrometer. The lecture is open to all.
