Steen Hanson

Subject: EOS – DOPS Membership Activation
Dear Steen and Peter,
Today, I received an email from the DOPS member ??????? who wanted to activate his EOS membership. We have registered him as an associate member, but I am now thinking about how to integrate the other DOPS members in the EOS, too (so far, only 6 out 180 DOPS members are registered with us).
We deactivated the web-based associate membership activation some time ago, because only few people had ever used this as a way to sign up with the EOS. Thereupon, several affiliated societies forwarded their member addresses to us (some of them asked their members for the permission before doing so).
Would it be possible for the DOPS to send us the membership list so that we can import the DOPS members in our database? Or, if this is not possible, do you have an idea how we can arrange for registering your members with the EOS? Could you maybe send a message to your members asking them to send an email with the subject “DOPS” and their name and address to info@myeos.org to sign up with the EOS?
Please let me know what you think and do not hesitate to phone or email me to discuss this. It is a pity that the DOPS members cannot benefit from their EOS membership and we would be very pleased to solve this problem and to intensify the cooperation between the DOPS and EOS.
Best regards,
Silke Kramprich
