The Danish Optical Society (DOPS) is pleased to announce that the National Optics Congress 2027 will take place at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) on 7-8 April 2027.
Bringing together researchers, students, industry professionals, and technology leaders from across Denmark, the congress will showcase the latest developments from the Danish photonics and optics community. Over two days, participants will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, industrial applications, and future trends shaping the field.
Whether you are working in academia, industry, or are studying optics and photonics, the National Optics Congress is the premier Danish meeting place for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

As part of DOPS’ commitment to supporting the next generation of optical scientists and engineers, all BSc and MSc/MEng students can attend the entire congress free of charge.

Venue, Transport and Accommodation
This year we are visiting Syddansk Universitet in Odense with the prominent Mads Clausen Institute, known internationally for its strong photonics program.

Parking is available at SDU campus which is also conveniently reached with public transport by tram directly from Odense Central Station.
